We have been staying at Cormier's for years and love it. Kena and Lawrence are fantastic hosts and always a pleasure to deal with. The rooms are all lovely with small kitchenettes and tables. The Lakeside is the largest, but we are happy to stay in any of the three. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach, a fabulous café across the road and easy walk to town for dinners and Saturday farmer's market. We really can't say enough about this beautiful B&B and the great hosts! Thanks Kena and Lawrence, you're the best :-)

Room Tip: All three rooms are great, the Lakeside is the largest with a big patio area.

This is the first ultra modern B&B my husband and I have had the pleasure to stay in. But this is modern with a difference -- not cold, utilitarian or unfriendly-- just the opposite -- vibrant, personalized (in an uncloying way), fresh and well maintained. We stayed in the large suite, and Kena and Lawrence's artistic sensibilities were wholly evident throughout: the colours, textures, extra large modulated bathroom sink with loads of room below to put one's toiletries and cosmetics; the decent artwork on the walls and the tastefully decorated and comfortable bed, sofa and kitchenette with enough drawers and cupboard space. We especially appreciated the recycling bin next to the trash can. (This is a couple who are at least trying to walk the talk regarding environmental sensitivity.) We also appreciated that there was more than enough room to move about so that one didn't have to awkwardly manoeuvre around furniture or luggage. The air was fresh and cool indoors, while the small attached patio and pretty little terraced garden were delightful to eat in or just to quietly read -- nice birding too.

The location is in an upscale, interesting and eclectic neighborhood, close to good eateries and a fabulous used bookshop in town. It's just a hip place to stay, that's all.

Thank you Kena and Lawrence for your consistent helpfulness, courtesy and understanding, especially when helping us get connected with my brother for dinner at the eleventh hour as we don't carry a cell.

I only wish there were more B&Bs like Cormier's Studio.

Cheers,
Jen & Chris S.

Kena and Lawrence were wonderful hosts! We were welcomed warmly and with a nice glass of wine to start off our wine tasting weekend!! Cormier's is only a quick walk to the beach, the Penticton Farmer's Market, and a quick drive to all of the wineries. The unit was quiet, secure, and clean - everything we could have asked for in a weekend getaway. We will be back :)

My husband and I stayed for two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts were friendly, accommodating - but discreet; the room had every comfort we would expect from a 5 star hotel; the location was perfect - a 5 minute walk to downtown Penticton, and a 5 minute walk to the first vineyard on our wine tour! We will definitely stay here again.

I'm a frequent traveller. Stayed here two nights with my family. Good location. Limited view of the water from our suite. Clean. Free wifi and movies on the DVD. No breakfast included. Host was super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again. Moderate price range.

We enjoyed a lovely long weekend of wine tasting & dining, Cormier's Studio was the perfect place to stay. Recommendations are Grape Escapes for wine tasting, Dino is a great tour guide, and Theo's Greek restaurant for dinner, huge portions left us with plenty of left overs for the next day.

From the glass of wine at the front door, to the stunning art throughout this home to the best setting in Penticton, we enjoyed 3 wonderful days at Studio Cormier. Not only are the owners very accomplished artists but they are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the Okanagan Valley. There was lots of information on local sites, wineries, restaurants, outings, etc. right at hand.

We had the lakeview room and would have loved to sit out on the patio overlooking the lake, but were too busy walking, wine touring and checking out the area for possible retirement options. Our room had a very comfy bed, lots of sitting room, a well equipped kitchen area and very clean bathroom. The location was perfect, well set back from the main road to Naramata behind another home so traffic noise was negligible.

We took the breakfast option, and really enjoyed Kena's "from scratch" homecooking. Great local coffee, fresh ingredients and more than enough food so that we couldn't eat anything else til later in the day.

Cormier's Studio is definitely #1 our list of B&B's in the Okanagan and we look forward to going back very soon!
