“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 16 August 2011

This B&B is perfection! Mike and Linda were very welcoming and attentive, they treated us like old friends from the moment we arrived. We did the full experience, the Thursday night Pairing Dinner and the Romantic Weekend. The Thursday night dinner was the quality of a very high end urban restaurant, served in a setting that looks like it is out of a romantic movie. It was a gourmet feast served outside next to the garden under an awning tent with candlelight and flowers at the long table... exquisite.

The romantic weekend was done to perfection. We went out for a dinner at a local winery based on Linda's recommendation and reservation (she got us the best seat in the house too!). We returned to a room with sparkling wine, chocolate covered strawberries, little snacks and rose petals around our bed and leading up the steps into the jacuzzi tub... they made it a magical evening.

I am also a stickler for cleanliness anywhere I stay and this place is utterly spotless and dust free! I couldn't recommend it higher... we were absolutely delighted with our three nights there.

Room Tip: We got the deluxe garden view suite. It was large, on the second floor and had a lovely view balcon...

Stayed 2 nights in the suite. 2 couples for wine touring and relaxation. Very well located in close proximity to the wineries on the Naramata bench. Comfy bed and nice full kitchen, bbq outside on a private patio. Seperate entrance from main house. Breakfasts were nice and all a very relaxing spot. We would go back.

Linda and Mike's guesthouse is one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived we were treated with warmth and friendship. Our room was luxurious and the breakfasts were wonderful.

Linda was very helpful with local knowledge and the restaurants that she recommended were all excellent.

An extra much appreciated gesture was Linda offering the use of her laundry when we enquired about the locality of a laundromat.

We would definitely recommend the Serenata Guesthouse Retreat and would love to return.

This is the best B&B we have stayed at, ever! Luxury at a fair price, wonderful food, and welcoming and personable hosts. We took advantage of the culinary wine and dine experience and thoroughly enjoyed it, so if you have a few extra dollars in your pocket, we highly recommend trying it. The next time we're in the area we'll definitely stay again.

Highly recommend this relaxing B&B.

We were travelling with another couple through the Okanagan and spent 3 nights with Linda and Mike. They were wonderful hosts and had lots of time for us any time of the day. We very much enjoyed our two bed suite (one bed was in its separate room and another in the living/kitchen/common space). I was surprised how easily this worked because both bed areas had their own door for privacy.

The grounds were amazing; so lush and well manicured, it really felt like a little oasis. The gourmet breakfasts each morning were very tasty. We also stayed for their weekly Thursday night dinner extravaganza! What an amazing treat. It was five-courses each paired with a different wine (at least 2 glasses per course). The wines were presented and introduced by the general manager of the local winery (which it is a different one every Thursday) and the food was presented and introduced by the executive chef. It was a great deal at about $100.

The free wireless in the suites was a very weak and intermittent signal, they need to get a range extender (like Apple Air Port Express).

Serenata Guesthouse sets the standard by which all other B&B's should be graded.

Located in Penticton but only moments away from the Naramata Bench, Serenata's property and views will take your breath away. Our suite was top notch, with the most amazingly comfortable king sized bed. The entire estate was spotlessly clean and finishings were just awesome. The courtyard was expansive, quiet and so relaxing.

The gourmet breakfasts were delicious - what a great way to start our day!

Our hosts catered to us the entire time and truly made us feel at home - they take hospitality to the next level. The Thursday evening dinner, catered by a local Executive Chef and a local vineyard, was one of the best meals and 'breaking of bread' experiences I've had in a long time. The social aspect kept us entertained well into the night and we had the opportunity to meet some facinating people.

The only 'con' of our experience was having to leave - I was truly sad walking out the door - 3 nights in this paradise was not enough!

Room Tip: Book a seat at the Thursday dinner - worth every penny!!!!

We had our third annual girl's May long weekend (4 30-something ladies who love to travel!) recently and stayed at the Serenata Guesthouse Retreat. The word "retreat" is an understatement!

Mike and Linda were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay enjoyable. From recommending a wine tour company, suggesting restaurants and wineries to visit, arranging our cabs for us, to even lending us olive oil that we forgot to pack, they were amazing.

The Serenata Guesthouse Retreat has several rooms right in the house itself, but we stayed in the side guesthouse which is like a small condo that can be converted for 1-, 2-, or 3-bedroom layouts. There was a small BBQ out back for us to use and we enjoyed the
beautiful decor and landscaped grounds.

The breakfasts are incredible. Lots of variety and lots of food and incredible coffee.

I loved it so much I am going back this weekend with my parents, my husband, and my aunt & uncle. I can't wait to stay there again! You cannot find a better place to stay if you're planning to tour the Naramata Bench wineries. I'm just hoping some of Mike's culinary skills will rub off on my husband. :)
