Best Western Inn at Penticton

We booked the morning of and come out to Penticton. We checked in about 5:30, and as we walked into room had a call to ask if room was clean. I'd looked in the bathroom and saw the made beds and responded it seemed fine. Then we noticed the rug definitely hadn't been vacuumed. We picked up a few sunflower seed shells-and the whole rug looked quite dirty. I went to office to let them know, and there was only one woman manning the place. I had to wait ten minutes (it's high season and hotel is full-they really need more staff on). I let her know carpets hadn't been vacuumed and she asked me if I wanted it done. I said that would be nice-we were going out to dinner and would be back late. It was never done-I find it odd to be paying well above $200 for a room that wasn't vacuumed and a hotel where they didn't seem to have enough staff to do it. Everything else seemed good-the facilities, breakfast was awesome, etc. but I'd agree with another reviewer who stated this hotel isn't run up to Best Western's usual standard!

We booked this hotel when passing through Penticton because it was a Best Western. We were a little worried at first, but ended up staying 2 nights because the kids were having so much fun. It's an older motel, but it makes up for its age with amenities. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was a pretty good price considering the size. The hotel has an outdoor and an indoor pool, which was awesome. It is set up with a real nice courtyard around the outdoor pool, with barbecue pits that can be used, hammocks and lots of patio sets for lounging in the sun. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection of cold (and some hot) breakfast foods. The motel is within walking distance of a great public beach on Skaha Lake, and close driving distance to shopping a all the restaurants a person could imagine.
The only complaints would be the loud old air conditioners in the rooms made it a bit hard to sleep. This is also a "family" hotel, so it can get quite noisy, but by 11pm the place was pretty much quiet.

First off, we quite enjoyed the hotel, the indoor and outdoor pools are fabulous aw well as the outside court yard and BBQ area.... However, you must put in a request for your stay a year in advance. We stay here about 5 years in a row. The first year, we had wanted a two bedroom ( which we requested every year). For 4 nights we got a one bedroom, pullout with mini kitchenettes. The for 2 nights a double bedroom as requested. Since the we have really needed a double bedroom which we only received once in the many years of going there. This last year we again requested a double bedroom when we checked out in July 2010. In February 2011 a letter came in the mail.... One bedroom with pullout was they had booked for us... This was the last time....time to find a new ..... Miss the outside features of the hotel

Our family was recently in Penticton for my mothers funeral. We needed a total of 11 rooms and the hotel would not give any type of discount or consideration for the number of rooms. The service was at 2:00 and we asked if we could possibly get early check in so people could change and again were abruptly told that their policy was 3:00 pm check in and that was all. I am a member of the Best Western Hotels reward program and a platimum elite member and this is the worst service I have ever received from a best western hotel in Canada and the US.

Room Tip: Rooms were clean but very small.

The staff was super friendly, even though our room wasnt quite ready when we got there, they gave us a key to the pool where my kids were kept occupied until it was, which wasnt that long, and the continental breakfast had everything to suit all four of my kids.

We stayed during the July long weekend, and couldnt be more pleased. The hotel was busy, but had a great atmosphere. I found it to be very clean (no hair!), and quiet, and loved the family feel. Continental breakfast was a superb, with an excellent variety. The courtyard is gorgeous, and well taken care of. We loved that there was a BBQ area, as well as an outdoor pool. The indoor pool was handy to have when the so called 'summer' weather rolled around.
Upon arrival,we were greated by a well spoken, very knowledgable, young man. He quickly got us checked in, and on our way. He was more then happy to answer any of the questions we had. The hotel is located just minutes away from skaha beach, close to restaurants, and shopping too.

This hotel is priced below, and very resonably compared to most of the other hotels in town, and we definitely reccomend it!

We stayed for three nights at this hotel and enjoyed the experience. It was quiet, well run and a great place for families - green space and pools, both inside and out. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful.
