The motel is older but has been updated and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The price was a little high for what you get but it was the end of August which is prime time. Would stay again as the owner was helpful plus it is a short drive to the beach.

Thanks for staying with us and your feedback. Yes we are a old motel so are all the others in our town but we try our best to stay on top on cleaning and updating.

Look, it's an old motel that has been cleaned up and well maintained. If you're expecting The Ritz for half the price of the other places in Penticton, you should leave these nice folks alone. If you want an affordable, clean, friendly, nice, place to stay the night while you plan your local adventures, this is the place for you. We arrived several hours before check-in, in the hopes that they would allow us to park on the property while we went for a bike ride, until check-in. Not only did they accommodate that request, but as we prepared for our bike ride, they hustled over to our (upgraded) room and set it up, allowing us to check in several hours early, store our personal items in our room instead of the car, and enjoy our bike trip. Obviously this type of service cannot be accommodated every time, but the ownership clearly wanted to make an extra effort when it was possible, and for that I cannot thank them enough. I will only visit the Swiss Sunset Inn during future trips to Penticton.

Room Tip: The suite was like a 1 bedroom apartment, comforting, and everything you needed was there.

we needed a place to stay while we finished getting our townhouse ready for sale. The room we had was dated but clean. the little kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, toaster, kettle etc. our suite had a bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The manager was very nice and there is a lovely clean pool and BBQ's for the guests to use. I would stay there again if we are in Penticton without our RV.

Clean room and nice swimming pool area, This older hotel seems to be well looked after by the owners. But needs to be updated. We had a quiet room. Not accommodating for a later check out (1 hour), and not dog friendly.

I booked this place based on the good reviews it gets on all the major booking sites. I don't know why people give this place a rating any higher than poor because it is need of a serious make over. While nothing was dirty it definitely felt grungy overall due to the shabby state everything is in. The price is also on the steep side. If you need a place to stay for one night, sure it's tolerable but don't stay for a vacation.
