Description: Villa Rosa Ristorante opened its doors in the Spring of 1996 in our same original location, right here at 795 Westminster Avenue West. In Beautiful Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. Over the years we have built our reputation by offering consistently great food with an extensive local BC and Italian wine list. Together they truly compliment our atmosphere and make for a unforgettable experience. The Okanagan has been very good to us over the years in both providing world-class quality wine and the most amazing fresh produce possible, as well as a tremendous amount of guests over the years, many who have also become great friends!!

We looked around town for a good vegetarian place for supper. Lot's of options for lunch it seems but we were running into dead ends for supper. We decided to try Villa Rose on recommendation from friends. The hostess was great and got us seated right away. We asked our server for vegetarian options and she quickly led us to a few options including suggestions of vegetarian dishes or substitutions not on the menu. We had a lovely fusilli peso pasta with bruschetta and a couple of glasses of a local white wine. Fantastic dinner and reasonably priced.

My wife a I went a beautiful romantic anniversary dinner here and had the best service and dinner in a long time. We received a couple of complementary champagnes to celebrate our anniversary. The table in the corner of the outdoor patio was very quite and romantic. It was an awesome evening. Thanks Villa Rosa.

This is Penticton's version of fine Italian dining and certainly seems to be a popular place. It was ok with it's 80's Italian decor and the service was attentive. It would work better if we weren't such casual vacationers. The pasta was fairly good, cooked to proper al dente. The sauces were a bit thick, as we've been more accustomed to the more current lighter approach. Had Linguine al Granchio, which has crab and shrimp in a tomato sauce....this is where a lighter application of tomato would have been a better balance to the delicate seafood, but kudos for them to use real king crab. The Linguine alla Vongole was very tasty to the point of salty. Very nice clam flavour though, but could have used less shredded clams. I had the Petti di Pollo alla Villa Rosa which was also a linguine. It was an interesting mixture of grilled chicken breast and prawns tossed in what tasted like a Thai sweet chilli sauce. Both the pasta and carne tasted pretty good on its own, but I'm not sure I was expecting the combo in a formal Italian setting. We shared a starter of house made Caesar salad, which was quite good. The wine list features many local and Italian wines. The price for Villa Rosa is not bad with entrees in the $20-30 range.

We were there last night with good friends from Vancouver. Corry our server was a pleasue very attentive friendly and always smiling. They ran out of Calamarri but the shrimp appetizer was good. My veal limone was delicious the other meals were also given a 10 out of 10. There is no bad gelato !!! Our only complaint the music was too loud so was a bit difficult to hear table conversation. Definitely will be back
