Caution! Rooms are very outdated. Some rooms look like they are from the 70s. Front desk staff are unfriendly (Tawny and Mason). I will not stay again!

Room Tip: there isnt a good room in this place, go somewhere else.

Hotel itself inside is very beautiful. Water slides were great for the kids and my husband, open from 2-9 nightly but it was spring break. otherwise you will want to check. Had a chicken suite which was very convenient although we were on the third floor and there are no elevators. The hide a bed was the newest one in the building and we had to ask for 4 blankets to put under us so we wouldn't feel the whole mattress of springs. Would never take a room with a hideabed again. We have stayed in about 5 different rooms there over the years and if not for the hideabed and the hike up 5 sets of stairs we had a great time and would go back for sure just be a little pickier about which room and which floor we choose.

Room Tip: older people never book on third floor or if you are not in good shape for climbing stairs. travel...

We are repeat customers. We thoroughly love this place! The price is good and we loved the giant covered common areas. We had the choice of 2 pools, 3 hottubs, and really fun waterslides and a nice water fountain!!! In the common area they have created a BEAUTIFUL tropical setting complete with palm trees, a couple of streams, a lovely gazebo, and many gorgeous plants! It makes you feel like you are in Hawaii!! Our room (which was111) was spotlessly clean. This is a great place to bring your kids!!

Room Tip: Request a pool side room!

Booked the hotel because of its close location to the CN Center this weekend. We had tickets to see Dierks Bentley. This did not add to the otherwise awesome experience. The room was clean enough but empty toilet roll and an empty tissue box made me kind of weary if it was cleaned properly. There was a constant humm from the icemaker and the swimmingpool. The smell of chlorine from the pool on top of all this and i could not fall asleep due to the raging headache it created. The next morning we added the breakfast buffet, what a mistake. For $ 14.50 you would need to eat a whole lot but if it tastes awefull who would want to ? Another hint to the management - once you fixed all the above maybe you could change the 70ies decor also !

Room Tip: Just don't

I spent four nights at this great hotel. As soon as you step inside, you are engulfed by tropical climate and lots of live green plants, with numerous swimming pools and jaccuzzis all located in the center court. The guests are chill and lounge around the the pool areas at their leisure enjoying the relax atmosphere of this place. You honestly forget you're in northern BC. Best of all is the staff! From the reception desk, to the maintenance staff, the room attendants, the restaurant personnel and the managers - all are extremely professional and courteous. Their mission is to please and accommodate their guests as best they can. They are all attentive and eager to serve. Two thumbs up for this amazing dream team you've managed to bring together. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I'll be back in June!

Room Tip: Since the rooms are mostly located around the center mezzanine, you might want to ask for a room tha...

I booked 3 rooms for our family Christmas "get away" . I had aways heard good things about Esther's Inn. Well.....the rooms were adequate and clean but in dire need of updating....you can't just put a flat screen tv in a room and think that updates it!! The worst was yet to come...we were sitting by the pool and the police came in an arrested someone from one of the rooms...that is a little hard to explain to children. Midnight, back in our room and all of a sudden we are awoken by the pounding on the door next door and the police(yes again) stating they need to gain access to the room and again took someone away. Back to sleep but at 3 or so someone is pounding on the door of a room down the hall and screaming for access. Security shows up and hauls someone away again!!! Needless to say we will never return!

My husband and I have stayed at Esther's Inn twice while in Prince George. It is conveniently located. The hotel rooms are in need of being updated. They are dark and don't appear to have been updated since the 1970's. That said our rooms have always been very clean, have coffee & tea and flat screen tv's.

All of the hotel rooms surround a large indoor pool and jungle... a tad unusual. This hotel seems to attract families with young children (probably because of the pool and waterslides). So this makes the hotel incredibly loud most of the day and evening until the pool closes. If you've got kids, this will probably be a great feature. If you don't have kids, it may be a little loud for you and not super relaxing.

The staff has always been friendly and efficient and the hotel is reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is around the smaller pool at the far end of the hotel, it may be a tad quieter...
