Proximity to the ocean, waves crashing, big trees, all combine for a very wild experience - and views to die for!

Remember to take your camera as the entire trial is gorgeous from the rainforest to the wild Pacific coast. It gives real meaning to the "graveyard of the Pacific" to see the rugged coastline with huge swells and waves crashing on the rocks.

We have done both.
The Wild Pacific Trail is a shore bound short walk in Ucluelet, beautiful ocean views and benches for a quiet medatative moment with nature.

The other trail, an eleven km hike befins in Ahoushat and winds through Flores Islqnd to Cow Bay and Flores Mountain.

Two distictly different experiences? There is no fee for the Ucluelet but there is a trail fee in Ahoushat.

Watch whales in season as they pass by from this amazing and very well kept trail in Ucluelet. Watch out for wildlife of the cougar kind too as they are know to frequent this area from time to time - look for posted warnings. Great viewing spots, plenty of sitting places and easy access. Not difficult hiking and as long or short as you wish.

Although we're usually into more remote hikes, we really enjoyed this walk. After getting onto the trail we immediately spotted humpback whales - wow! From there, the vistas and flora are just lovely. What a wonderful walk!!
