Description: We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly to sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish, creating a new and exciting culinary experience. Miku owner Seigo Nakamura innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish. The light sear from the binchotan (Japanese bamboo charcoal) caramelizes the sauce, releasing a smoky aroma and bringing out the finest flavours in each piece of Aburi sushi. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Fly Over Canada, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant with an innovative menu. Service was impeccable and the food and cocktail were delicious! Waterfront location makes it a perfect lunch spot with a great view.

By far our best restaurant in town now. Not only is the food out of this world delicious, but the service and the location is just perfect!

Our server last Friday was just amazing!! Kudos to you Seung, you made our special night perfect.

Will 100% recommend Miku for any occasion from casual to special. If you haven't tried it yet, do it now!

Nice location, good ambiance, excellent service. Our waitress walked us through the menu and made overall recommendations but was not pushy. Do yourself a favor and try the Oshi Sushi! We had an order of the Salmon Oshi Sushi and WOW. Have never had anything quite like that before. More expensive but is great for a date night or special occasion.

This is a beautiful, chic sushi place with a wonderful view of the harbor. The food was amazing, and our waitress was very helpful, because there were things on the menu that were very new to us American sushi eaters. And it didn't break the bank.

We heard about this place from a friend and booked in advance before we came to Vancouver and still only find a later booking. This showed it's popularity. We arrived on time but we still need to wait nearly half an hour, this made me uneasy and finally we were seated. Too many choices on the menu and we didn't want to miss the opportunity for trying different dishes, we decided to try their six course dinner and the dishes wasn't on the menu, so we have to accept whatever the chefs cooked, that's an exciting mystery. When the first course arrived, I felt disappointed, it's just a few pickles with one tiny sushi. I really wanted to rate them low if they were not improving from the second course. They did surprised me. With the rest of the courses, it's perfectly cooked decent seafood ranging from Sashimi to hot food. The highlights were followed one by one, we can't fault any dishes. The beef was the the best I had for a while. After that, I thought what could be better? And it was the sushi plate. You have to go with the sequence and that gave you a dynamic taste sensation. The palate reached its crashing moment when it comes to the chefs signature sushi. It just melted in my mouth. The best sushi I have ever had. Then we were really full by the fifth and we still had dessert to go, we were discussing that the dessert should be light otherwise it would be a failure based what we have had. In the end it came out just like we expected. The chefs arrangement for the six courses were excellent, the services were also no complaints apart from the waiting beginning. I recommend this place if you like Japanese food. But you need to prepare for the price if you go with the course menu, otherwise try their sushi.
