“Great way to see the city”
Reviewed 20 March 2013

Did the hop on-hop off tour of Vancouver. Great way to see the city!
Drivers are very informative and helpful. Great way to see attractions and learn about the city. Hop on - hop off style means you have the ability to plan your own day. highly recommend it.

“Good way to see downtown Vancouver”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

A great way to see the area, tour took 1 hour and 40 mins and our tour guide Jason was very good. Added little extras to the recorded commentary, as it was obviously recorded for the summer months! As the weather was not very good, we stayed on the bus for the duration and then walked around when we got off at our original pickup point.
I would certainly recommend using this bus tour as a way of seeing the sights of downtown Vancouver whilst learning some very interesting facts about the area.

“Disappointing!”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

After using this type of transport in other cities in Europe we have alway found them to be a great way to orientate oneself to a new place and to get from A to B with out enduring the costs of taxis. However Big Bus in Vancouver seems to cut it's services in Winter which left us stranded in Standed in Stanley Park in the cold and wet for nearly an hour waiting for a bus to arrive. There was no timetable and we were told a bus would come "about" every 40 to 45 minutes so we estimated the time we needed to be back and arrived 15 min early just in case. During our wait we had 2 Vancouver Trolley Buses (the competition) stop by but we had already paid for a big bus ticket.
On a positive note - once on the bus the driver was very pleasant and informative with his commentary as we passed by local attractions.
From our experience I would not recommend this service.

“Informative City Overview”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

I had some friends visiting from Hong Kong and wanted to show them my city. So, we hopped on the Big Bus City Tour.

I phoned ahead to find out what time the bus would arrive in front of our downtown Vancouver hotel. The bus was on a winter schedule, so it came every 45 minutes. It showed up right on time and the driver, Larry, called out to us from the bus to make sure that we hopped right on.

My out of town visitors asked lots of questions of the driver and he gave very detailed answers.

The bus has lots of windows, comfy seats was warm and clean.

Our only mistake was that we took this tour on my friends' second to last day in Vancouver. We should have taken it earlier in their time here, as it gave such a good, broad view of the city.

I would definitely recommend Big Bus.
