We were in Vancouver for only 2 days and we came across the opportunity for this tour. It covered both the boat ride and city tour portion of our visit-without taking up the whole day! Our captain was Captain Matthew and he was a wonderful guide. He was full of knowledge and insight of the city. The tour is about an hour but goes into many topics like the architecture of the city and history of the harbor-along with advice on what to see while you’re visiting. The E-Boats were a unique way to maneuver around and a neat experience. The welcoming and kind ways of the captain along with the beautiful sights made the tour awesome and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get to know the area!

This was VERY bad. We waited over an hour at one stop. Watch driver get next bus info from dispatch and then lie to other patrons. Bus seats were very close with no leg room. Very over priced and very baf

The drivers (we had 4 at various points) were friendly and helpful, some more so than others. The signs which identify the stops are small, and sometimes hard to find. The supplied maps are of virtually no help finding the stops. There were only 3 or so rows of seats (in the very middle of the bus) where one could reasonable hear the drivers’ recitations. Farther forward, the roar of the engine wiped out all other sound. Farther back (in the open [unroofed] area, the traffic and other city noises drown out the loudspeakers. Perhaps because we only heard about 60% of the presentation, we found the tour less interesting than similar tours in other cities. But then, the city history presented at the Vancouver Museum was dishwater bland --- so maybe there really isn't anything interesting about Vancouver to say in the first place. Presumably (there was a pile of earbuds next to the driver, and there are sockets at each row of seats), you can borrow earbuds and pug-in at your seats to hear presentations in multiple languages (there was even a socket for English). I wonder whether the system actually works, since none of the 4 drivers mentioned the option, and I saw no-one (many of whom did not speak English) with earphones. In anycase, for sanitation reasons, I’d bring my own earbuds. I would NOT take the tour a second time, and I’d hesitate to recommend it.

We had only one full day to tour Vancouver and had many areas we wanted to see. This was a great way to get around- picked it up right around the corner from our hotel after getting tickets at the Concierge desk. We were gone all day and it dropped us off right back where we started. We had great drivers all day and they gave us good information over and above the pre- recorded stuff. Sitting to the back where it is open air, you get great views and chances to take pictures. We did the parks route and it just keeps looping so you did see sections more than once but that allows you to get pictures and perhaps to decide to get off in a different area that interests you as time allows. Not a bad deal for the price.

There are 2 routes, City and Park. We did both and found this to be a super convenient way to explore Vancouver. There’s a recorded audio narrator highlighting sights which helped you identify points of interest to stop off at. For our first ride, we decided to travel the entire City route (1.5 hors) before figuring out points to explore. The Park route is longer (2hours) so we got off and on along different points. The staff are very friendly and let the 24 hour budge a bit when we ran over (ie they didn’t kick us off and let us finish our ride to the end). We had a lot of fun and we’d do a Hop On Hop Off in another city in the future.
