Owner description: North America's third-largest park draws eight million visitors per year, many of whom may skate or walk past you on the Seawall, a scenic, 5.5-mile path running along the water on the park's perimeter. It's just one of many trails among the park's 1,000 acres, which also house an aquarium, nature center and other recreational facilities.

My husband and I had a great biking experience in Stanley Park this weekend. We both got brand new city hybrids from a place called English Bay Bike Rentals on the South end of Denman Street ( on Davie), and had a lovely trip around the sea wall. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to continue past English Bay all the way to Science World! The family who runs the place was super friendly and got us fitted and on our way very quickly. I will definitely go back.

It's a short bus ride from the train stations, but Stanley Park feels like another world. We hiked through the center (Tatlow trail) to see the handful of truly huge trees in the middle of the forest full of very large ones. The trip to the park would have been worthwhile just for that, but there's so much more.

There are sandy beaches, a large aquarium, a mini railroad (longish trip, but quiet), and a kids' zoo. Flower gardens and a mini-water park. A few nice restaurants and a few concession stands. All of this without paying to get in.

An older guidebook said the shuttle was free, but it's $2/day now. Or rent a bike before you get to the front entrance to enjoy the long seawall path. There's so much to do here that you should be able to find almost anything you want.

Truly breath-taking park. I decided at the last minute to explore the park on bike and am so happy I did. You don't get the true experience in a car and it would take too long on foot. Ride the seawall around the perimeter of the park and be blown away as the scenery changes. Along the route you'll see everything from impressive views of the Vancouver skyline, to majestic totem poles, the grand lions gate bridge and of course the water and mountains. It's truly remarkable that such a natural gem exists within a vibrant metropolis.

Stanley Park is a must see for sure. Whether rollerblading/biking around the seawall, checking out the aqaurium or driving around to various scenic spots.

**Warning** If you don't know how to rollerblade, rent a bike. You will be much happier.

Stanley Park is gorgeous. You can walk through forests and feel like you are mile away from the big city. The seawall was neat to see and the totem poles are not to be missed. The outstanding Vancouver Aquarium is also located in the park. You could easily spend an entire day here.
