Food is wonderful and the view from the balcony is superb, even in winter with heat lamps!

We decided to check out Granville Island to check out the brewery tour, but unfortunately it was closed until April for renovation. That said, we were able to purchase a variety pack of the beer, and have to say it was a real treat. No problem getting parking, people come and go. Lots of shops, street entertainers, etc. Best was the Public Market, with lots of fresh fruits, bagels, bakeries, and local cuisine. A great vibe :) Also enjoyed walking along the waterfront and seeing the boats and harbor. I think it is worth the trip.

An authentic Vancouver 'people place'. Artsy, ethnic, crafts, market, greatpubs and eateries; theatre and interesting unique art galleries. You could easily spend a day here! Try taking the little ferries and public transportation as parking can be a challenge especially in high season.

We took the Aquabus Ferry from Edgewater Casino to Granville island on a grey dreary weekend. What a great place to spend a few hours wandering around the market and boutique shops. Check out the kids market including costume shop and coolest kids hairdressers (the kids sit in miniature cars) then grab a bite to eat in the market or at one of the bistros. We look forward to going again during our next visit to BC.
