Stayed here a few years ago for 3 days awaiting a n Alaska cruise. STAFF was excellent; attentive, accommodating and very helpful. That was then.
Reservation made over 3 months before arrival. Asked for certain room type. Upon arrival I was given a standard queen on the 10th floor (1004) right next to the elevators ( which I HATE) with a view of a noisy Robison Street. Trash was piled up next to my door by the service elevator.
I went down and “politely “ told the Front Desk of my disappointment and wished another room. I was told that the hotel was completely sold old and there was nothing they could do but have the trash removed. Really, that’s all that could be done. I couldn’t be switched so some other schmuck would get the bad room 😂.
Just bad Customer Service. I have raved about this place to friends who have later stayed here. Well, the raving is over and the complaining has started.
They even charged my CC $330 dollars for a $135 day rate: security deposit. Really!!!
As I sit across the street having dinner at Coco Rico Cafe I can attest I will not stay at Blue Horizon again.
