This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Victorian. It is a unique and charming building with a lot of the original fixtures still intact. The rooms are smaller than you would find at a traditional hotel, but that is bearing in mind that the building is very old. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are affordable. The Victorian is within walking distance of a lot of places you might want to go, but somehow manages to be in a quiet area. I recommend it to anybody that wants a good place to stay in Vancouver and isn't looking to pay a luxury price.

Room Tip: The stairs to the second floor can be steep for some, choose a main floor room for less stairs.

My partner and I stayed for one night at the Victorian Hotel as we were getting set to depart on a two week cycling trip. We arrived on July 20th straight from the airport with our bikes needing to be put back together after being disassembled for travelling. The staff at the Victorian Hotel were very accommodating and gave us a large space in the basement to put the bikes back together. After that was all said and done we were able to store our bike bags at no extra cost until our return over 2 weeks later. After a great bicycle trip, we returned to the Victorian and enjoyed 2 days in the city. The hotel is close walking distance to everywhere downtown. On the day we were leaving our flight wasn't until the evening and we were able to leave our suitcases and bike bags at the hotel. We both loved the Victorian Hotel and would surely stay here again. The staff was very friendly and always went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I felt as though the staff truly liked helping us. Thank you for an awesome stay.

I had a room with a shared bathroom. The room itself was small but clean and functional, the shared bathroom also clean and well maintained. It might be you have to wait for a few minutes but in my case it was OK. Location is very close to all major sights, worked week for the weekends I spent there.

We chose a location convenient to the Skytrain from the airport, as well as attractions and transport. We had a room with a private bathroom, though it was across the hall. It was a good size, clean and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable, there was coffee-making facility in the room, breakfast was simple but good and staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the free wi-fi. There's no elevator, but staff carried our bags to the room. We took them down ourselves when we left, but could have called the desk for help. Location was convenient for downtown attractions, also transport to Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver, Lynn Canyon Park and the suspension bridge, and more. There are lots of good eating places within easy walking distance. We very much enjoyed our stay and would return on a future visit to Vancouver.

Many thanks to you Margaret for your kind words. I loved the way you embraced the city just like so many of our Aussie guests, it is a treat to see. Happy trails.

Myself and my partner found the hotel to be a friendly and comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is close to a range of Vancouver attractions. There is some noise at night, however, this is par for the course in ground level accommodation in a city.
