The Victorian was the perfect little place for my boyfriend and I to stay before our long trip to Vancouver island. Rooms were quaint and clean, shared bathrooms were spotless. We never had a problem getting into a bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was very easy, 15 bucks for 24 hours close by in a garage. Staff held our bags after check out while we explored the city. Thank you for an awesome experience, will definitely be back next time we visit Vancouver.

Stayed here as part of my summer getaway to the northwest. The hotel was close to Gastown and not too far from the central downtown area. Check-in was quick and thorough. The building is an older building with wood floors, shared bathrooms, and no AC (seemed to be a common theme in other hotels as well).

The room was located at the top floor. First thing I noticed was the floor fan was running and then I noticed it was there because there was no AC. Upon opening the windows, the room started to cool down. The large bay window area where there was a small table and a couple of chairs was a great spot to sit down and have a small breakfast with a nice cool breeze flowing through. The bed was comfortable and the in-room sink was convenient. Luckily the shared bathrooms were close by and are probably the most modern touch in the whole hotel.

Great value for the price, but just an average hotel that happens to be historic.

Glad to hear you found good value in your stay Beenaround. Thank you. The majority of our rooms have air-conditioning and private baths and they still represent great comparative value in the downtown core. Try one out next time I know you'll love them.

Charming older hotel. Was a little worried about no A/C and sharing bathrooms, but neither was a problem. Actually had 2 1/2 bathrooms steps away that several rooms shared, and I never had to wait. Fan and open windows kept room cool, although nights were somewhat noisy. Location is in walking distance of transit station and lots of restaurants. Enjoyed breakfasts, but wish they'd had a little more variety. Staff was helpful providing directions and advice.

Room Tip: Stayed on second floor in room with shared bath(s) and bay windows facing Homer St. A little noisy with open windows, but not too bad.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Victorian. It is a unique and charming building with a lot of the original fixtures still intact. The rooms are smaller than you would find at a traditional hotel, but that is bearing in mind that the building is very old. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are affordable. The Victorian is within walking distance of a lot of places you might want to go, but somehow manages to be in a quiet area. I recommend it to anybody that wants a good place to stay in Vancouver and isn't looking to pay a luxury price.

Room Tip: The stairs to the second floor can be steep for some, choose a main floor room for less stairs.

My partner and I stayed for one night at the Victorian Hotel as we were getting set to depart on a two week cycling trip. We arrived on July 20th straight from the airport with our bikes needing to be put back together after being disassembled for travelling. The staff at the Victorian Hotel were very accommodating and gave us a large space in the basement to put the bikes back together. After that was all said and done we were able to store our bike bags at no extra cost until our return over 2 weeks later. After a great bicycle trip, we returned to the Victorian and enjoyed 2 days in the city. The hotel is close walking distance to everywhere downtown. On the day we were leaving our flight wasn't until the evening and we were able to leave our suitcases and bike bags at the hotel. We both loved the Victorian Hotel and would surely stay here again. The staff was very friendly and always went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I felt as though the staff truly liked helping us. Thank you for an awesome stay.
