In a big city you never know if a place is going to be near things, this was definitely a great spot. The hotel was very nice, staff were very helpful in assisting with directions and recommendations for activities within the city. We even arrived early after a cruise and they stored our luggage. 7-Eleven across the street. Tim Horton’s and Starbucks within 1 block of walking distance. It was only 4 blocks from the seawall for walking path. Great stay and would definitely go back there.

The hotel grounds were really nice and the breakfast is set up with a lot of room and selections. The service in the breakfast area was quick and efficient. The check in was quick and our room was ready upon check in. The front desk was also very helpful. But....the area is a little sketchy with all the homeless people walking around and panhandling.

I had picked this hotel because I am a Marriots rewards member and of where the location in downtown was. It was a very convenient location and close to restaurants, nightlife, local transportation, and tourist areas. The check in was fast and effficent. The help and courteous and helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: hotel is in an area with some construction nearby but there was no noise The room is spacious and well appointed. Would stay here again

We had 2 nights in Vancouver before moving to Victoria. We picked this hotel as a basic, lowish budget hotel in a good downtown location. As expected when we checked in, there was no help with luggage up to our 'studio room'. I'll admit, our expectations were low. However, when we walked in, we were greeted with a spacious, clean room with a large bed and a kitchenette area with sink, fridge, kettle and coffee maker and decent enough shower room. The colour scheme and lighting were a little dark but other than that, it far exceeded our expectations and the bed proved comfortable. Buffet breakfast was included - and again, this was far better than we expected - in fact it surpassed breakfast in many other more expensive hotels during the rest of our 2 week holiday in BC and Alberta. The food offering was broad and readily replenished and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Service at front desk was exceptional too. I'd forgotten my tooth brush adaptor. Not only did they provide one but they insisted I kept it too on departure when I went to hand it in - if it would make my holiday easier! It was a good location; easy walk to pick up the hop on hop off bus and an easy walk to get the Granville Island ferry. There was a convenience store over the road for any groceries and the hotel also had its own food mart area. What more could we have asked? If we're back in Vancouver and it's still under Marriott ownership, we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We stayed here for four nights on our first ever trip to British Columbia. The staff was very helpful, the breakfasts were good with choices for all tastes, and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean with everything we needed in the kitchen and bath. There’s a nice fitness room and pool/hot tub and the location was great. We were able to walk almost everywhere in Vancouver proper, plus it’s a short walk to the Granville water taxi. We’d definitely stay there again.
