Upon asking at the front desk, I was upgraded to a spacious 30th floor room with an amazing view. The owners are local, do extensive charity work and the staff speak highly of them. These are important qualities! Paul at Absolute Spa gives AMAZING therapeutic massages.

While frequently in Vancouver, and have enjoyed many great hotels there, I had somehow forgotten what a great location the Century Plaza enjoys-so easy to get to everything downtown. The upgrades to all areas of the property in recent years are fabulus, and only topped by the excellence of the staff. Every member of this hotel staff seemed to be only concerned with making my stay awesome.. and it was. The lounge had a great selection to choose from, the restaurant food and service was excellent. An value for money... hard to beat!

Room Tip: Higher floors have excellent views, and are a bit quieter!

This hotel is perfectly located and the staff is very helpful in planning excursions and getting around town. The front desk staff went out of their way to assist in transportation/tour preparation which allowed us to get the most out of our very short stay in Vancouver. Would recommend this hotel!

The Century Plaza Hotel is right next door to St Paul's Hospital in downtown Vancouver. As we live on the Sunshine Coast, a ferry ride away from the city, we stayed in the Century Plaza Hotel post surgery until it was safe to go home and I could manage to trip. This hotel offers special rates for post hospital stays or families needing to be close to loved ones in hospital. The room was huge. It was very comfortable and clean, with a full kitchen, table and chairs and sofa as well as two queen beds. The staff were helpful in every way, never failing to ask how I was doing. Great coffee shop on the main level. Spectacular city, mountain or ocean views from any almost any room.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up will have better views. We were on the 24th floor.

The hotel is located in the centre of things and rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. From the time we arrived to the entrance of the hotel we received a friendly greeting from Miles who helped us with our bags, directed us to the front desk and took our bags to our rooms.
I wasn't happy with my room and they changed it right away without question. The view from the room was gorgeous.
The whole staff were friendly and helpful from suggesting places to visit to directing us around the city.
The spa was very nice and we got a good massage.
We really enjoyed the service and the hotel. The atmosphere was so lovely that I would return at the first opportunity.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the noise from the wind on the higher levels choose the corner rooms for the g...

Front ofice were so friendly and helpful - upgrade to 27th floor suite, fre WiFi, vouchers for restaurant and coffee shop. Room was large, with a big comfy bed and a huge window looking over city, harbour and to Grouse Mountain. With only 2 bed lamps there was not enough light in the room. And the coffee shop has one of my favourites - Illy [reminders of Mui Ne in Vietnam etc!]. It is very central to the city, shops, eating spots, parks, Granville Island etc.

Room Tip: Try to get high up and looking north over downtown and harbour

Checked in & had opportunity to see 4 rooms. Rooms do vary in size. Some studio's are bigger than others & the 1 bedroom, hide-a-bed in Living room including a full kitchen was very spacious. It had a 40" flat TV in LR but could use a 2nd phone & TV in bedroom. Studios had old TV's & renovated bathrooms, yet a good size kitchenette.

On plus side rooms are accommodating, beds looked comfortable. Most rooms have upgrades although inconsistent from room to room. Free WiFi connection in Lobby otherwise $9/day. Hotel has green policy reimbursing $5/day if room service is declined (towel exchange is free). Breakfast in restaurant excellent though pricy if you include coffee (which should be included). Hotel is centralized so you can walk everywhere. Coffe shop & spa attached to hotelOn minus side, hotel has pool but no gym facility. No weekly in room WiFi discounts are offered unless you book a package. Rooms facing Burrard can be noisy since windows have only a single pane of glass.

I've read several unjustified bad reviews about this hotel. My impression is that complaints may have not been addressed to the proper people. Our complaints were cordially & expediently resolved. I'd like to commend Nicci Best, front desk supervisor as truly desrving her name , she truly is the Best. Front desk Natasha & Tim are also excellent and very much customer oriented. Everyone from the concierge to the waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room on a higher floor. Floor 28 is mostly renovated & offers great views. C...
