Home to Vancouver's fabulous Symphony Orchestra, the Orpheum is completely and meticulously restored movie palace from yesteryear. It's one of the few remaining Movie/Vaudeville houses in the country. The original pipe organ is still in the building.

“Best place to be for a concert”

You can't beat the acoustic design of this older theatre, it's nostalgic and incredible at the same time.

“Nice venue”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Saw Jann Arden perform here. The only annoyance was the use of my mobile phone for ticketing. I did this to get a discount from Rogers, but could then only enter through the main entrance (it was raining, so walking around to another entrance was annoying), and the staff were not well-organized to deal with this form of ticketing. That said, comfortable seats, good view.

“Vancouver Symphony”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

The theatre has fantastic acoustics and we go to the Symphony 7 or 8 times a season. The music and musicians were top notch. The repertoire was Wagner's Flying Dutchman Overture, Brahm's Piano Concerto No.1, and Schumann's Symphony No. 3 (Rhenish).

We have season's tix to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's Pops Series at the Orpheum, wonderful venue. Have also seen other concerts, would recommend anything performing here, anytime.
