The location could not be better. It is right on Granville Island and walking distance to a lot of good stuff. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing that could have bothered me is the noise. The windows aren't great and the market stuff starts early. It didn't bother me but if you are one of those people who needs complete silence, this place is not for you.

The shower was AWESOME and I'm a bath person!

Room Tip: Ask about noise when you book.

We decided to treat ourselves to a night of R&R close to home. We enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived, being met by a friendly valet, to the moment we left. Great customer service, upgrade to a water view, well appointed room - comfortable bed, enough seating, outdoor balcony - and good food. We met friends for drinks and appetizers in the lounge, which had great atmosphere and fast, friendly service. And then a delicious, large breakfast in the morning, enjoying the water view. Granville Island is a perfect weekend getaway. Fun shops, great theatre, tasty restaurants and an amazing food market to poke around. And you can take the little passenger ferry across to downtown Vancouver or other locations. We will definitely return to this little oasis in the city again!

Granville Island in itself is an experience you can't miss when in Vancouver, but treat yourselves and stay afew days at The Granville Island Hotel to explore the Island and very close to everything Vancouver. Just make sure you get a room with a full balcony on the water. You may have to book in advance. The service at the hotel is excellent and the restaurant is nice too. You will want to return time and time again!

Room Tip: On the water!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at The Granville Island Hotel on January 31,2013. Not only were the rooms very well appointed and modern but the King sized bed was extremely comfortable. We had only one complaint that needed to be dealt with and it was handled quickly and in a very coureous manner. We didn't know how to operate the TV. We only had one night and decided to eat at The Dockside Restaurant in the hotel. the dinner we had was perfect. We also chose to eat there for breakfast the next day and it was great as well. GIH also has special rates for medical visits as well as BCAA members. I plan to go back soon. five out of five stars!

Room Tip: Ask for King room overlooking Pelican Bay Marina

Excellent, smaller boutique hotel with very good meeting facilities and great food. Great beer brewed on the premises and very friendly, helpful staff. Great view of False Creek from the Dockside restaurant.
