Excellent for people with dietary restrictions. Dennis is very accommodating, and my girlfriend who is celiac was able to consistently have breakfast with no worries. It's also nice to be able to get into your room so quickly off the street, especially if you're in one of the rooms with their own entrances from outside. Very nice, highly recommended!

Dennis (the host) is wonderful, and responded very quickly to any questions I had. He accommodated for an earlier check-in as my flight landed early. He also graciously upgraded me from the Garden Suite to the Peak Suite without any additional charges. The location of the place is very close to Robson St and Denman St, where there is a plethora of nice restaurants of a wide variety. Furthermore, it is within walking distance (~10-20 minutes) from the City Center and the Vancouver Convention Centre. For the price (it was much cheaper than other places I was looking at) and location, I highly recommend the place for people looking to stay in Downtown Vancouver, and will be looking to stay here again the next time I am in town.

Such an adorable old house! Loved walking up to it and had to snap a pic to send home to family. 1904 I believe. If Christmas decor is your thing, you will love the garlands and wreaths lighting up this grand dame of a house.
Bed was comfy. Breakfast was tasty. Host was friendly. Location was fantastic! Walked through downtown from the SkyTrain and went out for awesome ramen before the concert we caught. Love staying on a quiet street and still being able to walk to our venue.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Barclay House for our anniversary trip and first time visiting Vancouver. The host, Dennis, was very welcoming, kind, and accommodating. The house was very cutely decorated with Halloween decorations and felt very homey inside. Breakfast was served every morning at 8:30a, which we very much enjoyed. Dennis gave us recommendations of things to do/see in Vancouver and modes of transportation. The house was very conveniently located downtown, with many restaurants within a couple minutes walking even though we also had a parking spot in the back of the house. We'd definitely recommend staying here for your next visit. We know we will come back to Barclay House next time we visit Vancouver again :-)
Lovely traditional b&b in a peaceful location yet within walking distance of English bay with its bars and restaurants Very close to Stanley Park with a fab brew pub, and Robson and Denham Streets. False Creek ferry to Granville Island is a 15 minute walk away. We loved our stay here. If you want a trabitional b&b with wonderfully comfy beds and caring attentive owner, then this is the place for you.
