We are so pleased friends recommended this restaurant. The food was stunning.

The menu and team mix tradition and modernity in ways that make everyone feel at home, no matter what their level of familiarity with Japanese cuisine. With a little guidance we enjoyed a fantastic combination of old favourites and new revelations. Highly recommended!

The sushi and the food are amazingly good, but you just need to be patient to wait for the food from the kitchen to your table. Not to mention you have to wait for a long line to be seated before you can enter the restaurant.
So if you are patient enough, then I would definitely strongly recommend going to visit here.

Everything is fresh and excellent. The menu is slightly compact and lacking diversity.

>= Miku. Non-descript, location on Commercial Drive houses one of the best, if not the best sushi in Metro-Vancouver. It is a small restaurant so make reservations, and then be prepared for a culinary experience. Their menu changes with the seasons and what local food is available. The gomae was incredible. The sashimi (4 kinds) was prepared so well that it was like eating art. The idea that you eat with your eyes is ever prevalent in the presentation of the food here. Okonomiyaki was so delicious you would have trouble identifying it as cabbage. Oshi and Oshizushi were top notch, topped only by their smoked Oshi, presented under a glass dome. Incredible. I highly recommend Kishimoto. I have been back already several times.

The food is so good it keeps you coming back. Book a reservation 3-4 weeks advance to get a more desirable seating time. Just get a variety of things to enjoy with others.
