This place was a delight to see, the fish market, fruit and veg stalls were an abundance of colours and smells. On the down side everything was so expensive bit of a rip off tourist trap. It’s worth the visit but will cost you.

I could not wait to get back to Greenville Island this trip as I had really fond memories as a child visiting the open market and shops. This time I brought my family and they were just as excited about the experience as I was. The island is very beautifully set up with quaint shops, artisans, restaurants and the market. The island has such a great vibe and we loved browsing the shops and buying and eating all the fresh fruits and baking. There are so many little ice cream shops and other great places to grab meats both cooked ready to eat or raw to prepare at home. Everything is so fresh looking in the market that it is hard to wonder through without stopping at quite a few booths to indulge. The smells are outstanding inside with fresh breads, meats roasting and many baked good items. It is a place for everyone. We also enjoyed listening to various musicians playing in the streets while we walked. Super way to spend time in Vancouver.
Great food market offerings from delicatessen, fruit & vegetable stalls, butchers and various hit & cold food stalls along with artisan market stalls
We took the little water taxi across the harbour from the end of Hornby Street, this was a treat for the kids and was an exciting way to get to the Market.
We all enjoyed the selection of foods, sampling lots of different foods and styles of food, Salmon Candy being the highlight!
We also enjoyed all the other stalls and shops in the market, something for everyone!
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Glenville Public Market. Very interesting market and some great street entertainment just outside. Well worth a visit - and if you can, catch a ferry across False Creek - fabulous.
The market was overflowing with people on the Friday morning we visited. Lots of great looking food and drink options - we opted for very tasty chowders. Buskers to entertain while we ate outside.
