They serve soft bread in the shape of a bagel. It didn’t have a real bagel’s firm, chewy, crusty texture. I made the mistake of ordering mine with tomato and egg, imagining the egg would fried. It was nuked. No salt or pepper on offer. I don’t understand why so many people line up for this.

Every year When I travel to Vancouver, I buy a dozen bagels to take home. Yesterday I was truly disappointed, as my favourite bagel has a complete different composition and taste. What happened to the original recipe, the chewy Montreal style bagel you used to make. These bagels are like any other bagel you can buy in the store. Truly disappointed.

I had a turkey bagel from Siegel's yesterday and was pretty disappointed by how flavorless the sandwich was. I had it on an everything bagel and the bagel was very hard and not chewy at all.

We bought 2 containers of cream cheese today and when we opened them up they completely hollow out the middle of the container and you cannot tell because of the sticker on the top of the container. According to management they have changed the container from 275grams to 200grams but the price remains the same however it does not say the weight on the container. Just a sneaky cheap thing to do. I have been going there for years but Ill go the extra distance and drive to Rosemary Rock Salt. Shame on the owner for allowing this type of cheap practice. The manager was extremely professional when confronted with this and seemed embarrassed by this new method. Hopefully the owner reconsiders ripping people off.

We've been buying bagels here for decades - a staple food for runners. Especially love cinnamon raisin bagels. We'd buy 6-12 at a time and eat them like doughnuts without putting anything on them. Always loved the fabulously chewy texture. Lately, we've noticed they've been different, overbaked, with the raisins burnt and crust almost black as shown in the photo. Hard to bite through the crust. We're sad they have changed and for the price, they won't be worth buying anymore. Not sure why they've been overdone like this so often lately. Please make them the way you used to. When they're baked just right, they are the best!
