I have been coming to Maria's Taverna for over 20 years, every time I come to Vancouver. Great staff. Wonderful food. Lamb chops, souvlaki, lamb shank, the best humus I have ever had. Can't wait to go back.

I have tried other lamb roasts but nothing compares to Marias.....no big bones & no hunks of fat.And their tzatziki sauce is the best of any other places I have tried'

I always want to try something else but unfortunately for all of us,its always kleftiko when I am here.

We returned to Maria's for a pre show meal with friends and had a delicious dinner. Ample portions. We had lamb souvlaki which was tender and seasoned nicely. Had a nice wine and off to the show. Our friends were also happy with their chicken liver entree and spanikopita dish.
We'll return. It was very very busy with a 30 person birthday party and at first we didn't think that we would get the service, but they came through for us.

Make reservations if you are going on the weekend.

Intimate and friendly atmosphere and excellent food! Lamb was exceptional and the trout was "amazing".
