We enjoyed a 2 night stay at Loden Hotel in a wonderful room on the 12th floor. Super comfy beds, great shower and the children loved the wii. The hotel offered us complimentary use of their bikes and we had a lovely afternoon cycling round Stanley Park - it really was one of our holiday highlights. We also visited the botanical gardens and tree canopy walkway at University of British Columbia and spent the afternoon at the huge market on Granville Island.

We didn't try the hotel's restaurant, but it looked busy with a good atmosphere which is great. Instead we tried Thr Flying Pig in Gastown and The Keg Steakhouse close to the hotel - both were excellent.

We thought the staff at the hotel were exceptional - very friendly and extremely helpful, especially in trying to help me organise a return ferry to Vancouver Island!

Overall, Loden Hotel is a perfect base to explore Vancouver - it would suit leisure travellers and also business travellers (because of it's close proximity to the financial district). It's so close to the waterfront and Stanley Park as well. We were so pleased to have chosen Loden Hotel and would thoroughly recommend.More
