“Neat restaurant in Vancouver”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2011

I've been to Subeez a few times and it's always good. Prefer their dinner to their lunch though. Their elderflower cocktail is particularly delicious, something which I've yet to find anywhere else. All the food I've had there is good, the steak salad being the best. They have a wide variety of types of food so there's something for everyone's tastes. The service is always good too. They have live music on weekends, which is very very loud. If you want a quieter dining experience then I'd avoid these nights as it's difficult to talk over the music, but if you like it loud, then it's perfect! Their decor is very interesting with unique sculptures and paintings. A nice place to go for dinner with friends, family, partner or colleagues.

“Nice quirky place that does a good burger.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2011

Was looking for somewhere to eat one Sunday night, didnt want to stray too far from the hotel and happened across this place. Grey and unassuming from the outside but the folks inside seemed to be having a good time so in we went.

Yep off the wall, bo-hip decor and a fairly young crowd are to be found inside. The staff were friendly and upbeat and we didnt have to wait long for our orders to arrive. The burger I had was particularly good as well as the beer.

Worth a visit if passing and fancy something a bit less chain orientated. We would eat there again.

“Great deal on beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2011

The food I had (nachos and yam fries) were average. But it is the beer that is worth the visit. For 12 bucks you get a bucket with 4 bottles, 2 whistlers and 2 honey lagers. This only happens on Fridays I believe. So plan ahead and you will be WINNING.

“Cool bar - fab drinks - good food - nice staff - ace music”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2010

The best bar we visited in Vancouver. Funky artwork, laid-back atmosphere, a very helpful waiter who helped us choose sone great local beers and wines and some awesome bar snacks (especially the fries with garlic mayo). If we lived in Vancouver, this would be our local.

“Unbelibveably bad service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2010

We went in at 12 noon sharp, the place was quite empty. The host sat us down and said he'll get us water. 10 minutes later we went to look for him. We placed our order and waited for 30 minutes, then we went to look for him again. He said the food will be right out. 5 Minutes later we left, since it was time to go back to work, a whole hour spent waiting for food. When we left, we told the host we're leaving. His reply? "Ok."
