We ate at Rosie's twice for breakfast. The first time was excellent. The food was delicious and plentiful, and service was prompt. We like it so much we thought we'd go again the next morning. The second experience was completely different. The service was very very slow, the food was not as good, not as hot when it was served, and not even the same quantity (I ordered the exact same thing both mornings).

We had a brownie desert that was big enough to share between at least 3 people! We also had a nice breakfast there as well which they seem to serve until at least noon on Saturday

Went for lunch with friends from out of town. The restaurant/pub, while called Rosie's, is actually part of the British-themed Elephant & Castle pub change. Difference here is it is tied to the adjacent Rosedale on Robson Hotel so caters for guests as much as external patrons. Our food was fine. I had a Thai Chicken Salad ($12.50) which was much bigger than expected, tasty and good value. Would recommend. My friends had a nachos ($15.50) which was - as our server warned - huge and more for sharing than a single diner. It was okay but looked a tad overcooked. My other two friends each had the soup and salad. While a more restrained portion, it looked fine and both remarked it was hot and fresh. Did not sample any alcohol but they have a decent beverage list and the place is reportedly busy on sporting event nights due to its proximity to the BC Place (Whitecaps FC and BC Lions) and Rogers Arena (Vancouver Canucks) stadiums. There was hockey game the evening we were there for lunch and by mid-afternoon it was already starting to attract Canuck fans so be warned or take note, depending on your love/dislike of sporting fan venues. One down side was the rather slow service. While staff was around, we only really saw one server working the floor which slowed things down a bit. Despite the pressure, she was still pleasant. Based on our lunch experience, I would recommend as a comfortable pub-style place to eat. Just remember the sport fan warning.
