We went with Gordy on the eight hour salmon trip and had an absolute blast! Caught many salmon and even though we couldn’t keep them, Gordy trapped for us many prawns and crabs to take. He also found us a restaurant that would cook them for us and it was exceptional! Can’t wait to go back and fish with them again!

I'm new to fly fishing, my buddy is an accomplished fisher of Atlantic Salmon.

Yesterday we both had our first taste of Steelhead and Bull Trout fishing, guided by Paul from Chromer Sport fishing. It's hard to stop talking about the incredible wilderness, absolutely professional guidance and simply good company as we fished the Upper Squamish River, floating in an inflatable dinghy directly from one spot to another.

It was a fantastic way to get so much fishing in one day, never leaving the river.

The local knowledge and good advice was welcome as I'm new to this kind of angling. As we discussed the trip later, my friend said that every time he spotted a place that looked promising, the guide ended up taking us there -- they were on the same wavelength.

Another big up for Chromer advising us against fishing on our chosen day, where conditions weren't that good. They rescheduled us a few days later under excellent conditions, and we caught fish!

Thanks to all at Chromer who gave us good info, great email and web contacts and of course a super day on the river. Every detail was explained thoroughly, from what to wear and bring, obtaining licenses and paperwork, to supplying top-notch gear and equipment. I can't wait until the next trip!

We had a fantastic fishing-trip for Steelhead (Drift with the boat) at the Squamish River.
Paul did a great job to teach my buddy casting so he could hook a Steelhead at the middle of the day.
He brought us to fanatstic pools where I always had a good feeling to hook one.
I didn‘t got my Steelhead but I have landed 3 nice Bulltrouts.
That was not the last time I went with Chromers

Pick up was right on time in fact even a bit early, pleasant ride to water. Equipment provided was first rate. The guide was knowledgeable, but not to perceptive. When a guide has a client that is over 70 and has fished for over 50 years, leave him or her alone.. I wanted a quiet time on the water and even suggested that he should fish by himself which would leave me to fish without constant instruction. Nice guy but a bit overwhelming. Oh well eventually he did some fishing and at the end of the day neither of us had so much as one strike. No ones fault, just fishing. I was promised that that in the evening I would receive some photos of the day. So far almost none.

My Bro and I spent three days with these guys last week.....Total Pros ! From first contact six weeks ago right through advise on prep and arrangements. Outstanding guides.... and I told them so in that over some 35 years of Salmon and other fly fishing species
they are likely the two best guides I have experienced and just great guys !
...Deep knowledge of the Squamish and excellent casting skills meant that we learned a ton and came away with some really nice Steelhead.
We are heading back next year for sure..... Alan
