Wonderful, welcoming environment, Fabulous breakfasts prepared by Joanne. Wonderful booklet listing directions to multiple sight-seeing experiences. Total support for a fabulous trip. I strongly recommend this B + B..

Owner/operator is on site and cooks up a tasty breakfast, but visitors also have the option for continental fare. The B&B is located in a quiet, secure neighborhood with lots of street parking. Very well kept, clean... shoes must be removed before entering ground floor rooms. Early check in is possible, but you must request in advance.

I was looking into this place, but the description of where this place is located is very confusing. The website says it's in Kitsilano which is where I want to be. But it's called house on Dunbar, and Google Maps shows it's in Dunbar, which isn't close to downtown Vancouver. Why the misinformation?

HouseOnDunbar, Owner at House On Dunbar B&B, responded to this reviewResponded June 26, 2017

The Dunbar area is also referred to as Kitsilano.
Both Dunbar and Kitsilano are 15 minutes from downtown.
House On Dunbar B&B is not advertised as in the downtown area.

We stayed for 2 nights and is was great. Nice owner: warm and friendly but also not too friendly keeping in mind our privacy. The breakfasts were good and sufficient. The location is a bit far from downtown, but we stayed there before so didn't need to be close by. Bike rental is close and you can bike (or walk) through the forests and the really nice neighborhood with beautiful houses and great views on the ocean. Nice and not too crowded.

House on Dunbar was the ideal location for our trip to Vancouver. Away from the main city but nearby bus stops made access easy. Joanne was a great hostess and provided us with an array of breakfasts throughout our stay. Got to meet other fellow guests that you wouldn't in a hotel and also a great lounge area to relax in.
