During my stay in Vancouver to visit friends, I was invited for lunch by my ex employer from the late 80's. She owned a restaurant in
kitsilano and I was a server for many years. She suggested Italian Kitchen. I made the reservation on her behalf requesting a specific area. We arrived on time at noon and were seated at table 15A alongside the glassed wall. Table 13 nearby (corner table for 2 overlooking the whole dining room) was alredy occupied. She ordered caesar salad ,half portion, (romaine, baby kale, herbed garlic croutons radicchio, shaved parmesan) and Seafood Linguine (jumbo tiger prawn, bay scallops, mussels, halibut, salmon, stewed tomatoes, sicilian olives, capers) and I chose Veal Scaloppine (bresaola, fontina cheese, white wine, roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables). We both had some glasses of Tenuta di Arceno ‘Chianti Classico’. And sparkling water. It was a wonderful lunch get together with great food and professional service by Natasha, our server. It was my second visit after 3 years. Will return.
