I've toured many government buildlings world-wide and worked in otherd. The BC "Parliament" Building is the nicest I've ever been in - better than anything in the US, Spain (Madrid), or London.

Very interesting visit. Lovely building and well worth a visit. Worth having a free guided tour.
Unfortunately we missed being able to use the dining room but from what we understand this is a good value option.

The BC Legislature Building is a very impressive structure and well worth a look inside. There is no charge to enter and free guided tours at various times throughout the day. Surprisingly there are also no security checks to enter the building, just very friendly security officials who wish tourists a pleasant visit and inform people that they are allowed to walk around the first two floors of the building. The stained glass windows and intricate ceiling work are quite beautiful and very regal, quite reminiscent of English buildings from the same architectural period.

We got there to late for a tour, but spent some time on their beautiful lawn looking at the garden and enjoying the exterior of the building. We had an added bonus when we drove by that night to see it all lit up.

A must see when it is all lit up at night.

It is also worth a tour inside the building to see the wonderful workmanship.
