This place is a must see for model train and doll house enthusiasts but also provides historical information for visitors to Canada. The displays are quite interactive, allowing visitors to push buttons that in turn cause trains to move or other parts of the exhibit to do something. There is a very interesting video and scale model of a working lumber yard and realistic depictions of early settlement in Canada. The displays are not in chronological order which makes the history a little difficult to follow but they have obviously been lovingly created and there is a certain ingenuousness about them that is very appealing. There are also imaginative and fantasy sections that would captivate the minds of children and some beautiful elaborate doll houses.
