A frat new place we explored and to hear from others a new restaurant and in house chef. Great selections of salads and light menus ideas food was great. The staff are very nice and happy. Gardens around the grounds are well kept and look wonderful. The location is in a industrial area of town busy with trucks etc.

Our third visit to Pt. Ellice house. The house tour with the iPods was fascinating.
The best improvement was the new restaurant. With an on site chef, and a menu of fresh contemporary salads and light dishes beautifully prepared, it was a nice surprise.
Pleasant, attentive servers, a great experience overall.

It's not as popular spot, causing your tea and tour to be a lot more intimate and personal. I would definitely do it again, even though it's a bit of a walk from downtown.

Very nice new restaurant on the property. We had their special paninis with salad on the side and they were very good. The staff very nice and relax as well. We did not try the dessert but it also sounded delicious. The gardens of this house are lovely and the house/museum are very interesting, although too dark for our liking (it would help to open the blinds during visit hours) This property is not far from down town Victoria and very easy to find.

We went as a four generation family for tea on a beautiful afternoon in late May. The children enjoyed running on the lawn and looking at the boats, and Great-grandma was able to get around easily. The tea had a very good variety and was vegetarian, appreciated by those who eat vegetarian, and the lack of meat was not noticed by anyone. The "Devon cream" is really cream cheese, but the baked goods are excellent and perfectly presented. This is a much more economical version of tea, in a beautiful garden, and includes a tour of the historic house. Excellent value. It is located in an industrial area of town, and although one doesn't see beyond the property, on Saturday there was a lot of trash compacting noise and the odd whiff of mushroom manure from the yard next door. Still, it impressed us enough for our son and his fiancee to consider it as a wedding venue, so overall, it was lovely -- but next time we'll go on a Sunday.
