Better than the Empress High Tea, Point Ellice House (O'Reilly's Restaurant) served up a delicious, fresh, high tea of sandwiches and sweets in a cool setting one hot afternoon. Seven of us Crown Jewels dressed in our best hats to have lunch and tour Point Ellice House for less than half the cost of the Empress High Tea. The tour was included in the price of the tea and was a fascinating look into Victoria's history. Even though located in an industrial neighbourhood, the new world drifted away as we enjoyed ourselves in the gardens and walked down to the private wharf. The little Harbour Taxis stop at this wharf and, if there's room, you can hop on and off. We would definitely go again!
