Husband and I left our cars in Port Angeles and traveled as foot passengers to Victoria. The Ferry staff patiently answered all of our questions. Instructions and directions were easy to follow. Show up at least 20 minutes before departure, show your passport, and walk onboard. Such a pleasant change from flying or driving. An easy 90 minute crossing (though our return trip took 2 hours) and ferry docks at convenient locations for foot passengers in both ports. The Coho is old and it shows in the seating area and bathrooms, but it's clean. There's a cafeteria onboard serving meals, snacks and beverages.

I was only fairly disappointed that getting ON to one of the ferries from Port Angeles over to Victoria was far more challenging than I would have imagined, but otherwise, it was a fast and comfortable 90 minute journey in to Canadian waters and the capital of British Columbia

Getting to Victoria BC via Black Ball Ferry from Port Angeles was easy and affordable. The ride is 90 minutes. The ferry has restrooms, food and beverages, wine and beer, and even a duty free shop onboard. It can get get cold outside, and if it does, the rear upper deck is the place to be, because it's somewhat protected and you still have the view.

The Coho ferry to Port Angeles is a much nicer way to get to Washington state than driving. The ship is nothing special and the facitities are only adequate, but the scenery is fantastic and the trip is relaxing and stress free. Enjoyable.

We traveled to Victoria using this method. I would highly recommend. Food is decent, views are spectacular. Arrive early if you want to be in front. We were 2 hours early and not close to front with our car.
