- Worst bed, worst service -
I booked my stay 2 or 3 weeks in advance, but one bed in the room has a super old spring. Every time I turn around on the bed, it makes a loud sound and wakes everyone up. I woke up 6-7 times per night and I finally had enough after the 2nd night, so I asked the front desk if they could do anything about it. The Indian gentleman was nice and polite and assigned me a new room. It was better afterward as the beds in the new room don't have a super old spring.
You might think the service is good, but someone else here has a horrible attitude. When I stayed there, I wanted soda but the vending machine in the lobby only accepts VISA, master card, Samsung pay, or apple pay. Both my husband and my VISA card didn't work, and his Samsung pay didn't work either. Someone else tried to buy something but failed too. I then asked the guy at the front desk (a Caucasian guy with blonde(?) hair) about it, and he got super defensive and insisted that he's used it numerous times and it's fine. He also cut me off as well, and i think he firmly believes that I just don't know how to use the machine. He eventually just said "maybe it's broken then", "sorry" nonchalantly. The only possibility I could think of is that it only works for Canadian VISA cards, but he didn't think of anything like that as he wasn't trying to solve the problem, but dodging it. It's probably the worst customer service that I've ever seen at any hotel, and I felt he didn't really want to work there at all as he has no desire to recognize the issue or solve the issue, but dodging it.
I've stayed in other Days inn hotels in other cities and they were acceptable, but this attitude isn't. I doubt I will stay in Days Inn again as they allow such horrible customer service in their hotels.
PS. the beds were filthy and you could see hair on the sheets... I am not sure if they even cleaned or changed the sheets...
