Owner description: Just around the corner from Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.

This was one of the highlights of my cruise! I loved the fishermans wharf, mostly because we don't have seals in Michigan(I have never seen them outside of a zoo!) and you actually get to feed them!
I think I must bought fish 4 times just to keep feeding them (no wonder they are so pleasantly plump!). I also really enjoyed the floating village, the houses were too cute! If you are in Victoria, make sure to check this out!

Fisherman's Wharf is a really fun place to go in Victoria. The place during the day is always full of life. The Marina has a lot of boats and also a lot of funky floating house really well decorated.

One of the main attractions is "feeding the harbor seals". Lots of people go there just to do that. You can buy fishes the fish market right across for a dollar. Don't worry if you don't see them, just be patient and dip the fishes in the water, the smell of it with make them come. Also, there are nice places to grab a bite to eat, there is a Mexican food place, Fish and chips places, and a Gelato store among others.

You might have to go there anyways since some of the whale watching tours depart from there.

Come during the lunch time, so you can enjoy the food, the seals and the great environment that surrounds Fisherman's Wharf

on the last day of our alaska tour, we visited Victoria. we had only a short time in the city so we decided to take a taxi to fisherman's wharf. The cost for a taxi for 3 of us was $7. Once at the wharf, we visited all the cute little houseboats, got dinner at Barb's fish and chips (which was just ok and pretty expensive), but we then got to sit and watch the harbor seals which was such fun. I wish the fish markets had been open so we could have fed them as they were obviously begging, but their sad little eyes are so hard to resist. We sat and enjoyed our visit for a good hour, when a storm began to blow up. Unfortunately, it was not possible to find a taxi back, but it is not a long walk to get to the cruise dock and it is all downhill, so other than getting a little cold and wet, it was an inexpensive and fun little outing. Highly recommend this for families traveling with little ones, there is a park just across the street and there are adorable little water taxis that take you on cruises of the harbor. Cheap and fun little excursion.

It was nice seeing the floating homes but we didn't get to see and feed the seals, that's why my kids were a bit disappointed. There was a line up @ the fish n chips store too:(

We walked to the Fishermans Wharf from downtown Victoria. There is a walkway all the way from the inner harbour area right to Fisherman's wharf. It was a great day to walk, hot and sunny. The nice breeze coming off the water was great. We ate lunch at the wharf, looked at the float homes and watched people feed the harbour seals. Took a harbour taxi back to the Inner Harbour. Fun way to spend a few hours in Victoria.
