Owner description: Just around the corner from Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.

This hidden gem on Victoria's harbour is as much a home for people who live on float home as it is for visiting tourists in the height of the season.
For a one time visitor, take the water taxi from outside the Empress Hotel across to the wharf and then get off for fish and chips or ice cream.
Dining is from the equivalent of food trucks although they're actually permanent shacks. Seating is at picnic tables or any available low wall.
But be sure to look at the float homes. yes, people actually live in them!

The Fisherman's Wharf at Victoria is worth a visit. It's very quaint and not like anything I've ever seen before. Many boat houses and boat restaurants - all of them quaintly painted/decorated. Probably worth a 5th star but it was a very quick visit.

The area is an active wharf for fishing boats. There are several opportunities to eat or have a drink. A fairly long walk from the inner Harbor but easily accessible by water taxi. Take some time and enjoy a meal.

Kind of an adorable little village of floating houses with a cluster of carry-out restaurants. We had fish and chips (halibut!) at Barb's, and it was great. You can catch a water taxi to or from this place. There's also a pay parking lot.

our first night in Victoria we had dinner on the Fishermans's Wharf, we ate at The Fish Store and sat at a provided shared picnic table on the pier. Because the tables are shared we met some folks from Australia and stuck up a new friendship. Fun Time!
