Victoria is a little light on theater, I think--except for the occasional tour of two-year old Broadway musicals. My bed and breakfaster owner recommended that I see a play at the Belfry Theater, a converted "carpenter Gothic" church in the trendy (if a little grungey) Fernwood neighborhood His recommendation was excellent. I saw Christopher Durang's "Vanya and Sonia, Masha and Spike", a comic take off on several Chekov plays. I had seen this on Broadway with NY actors, and the Belfry cast was almost equally talented, funny and professional. I particularly enjoyed Deborah Williams fine comic timing, and transformation from a ditsy frump to a glamorous and formidable diva.
