“Great Place - Perfect for a small family”
Reviewed August 22, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

A modern home with beautiful garden in the city. Near to the beach, castle, and restaurants. All you need is in the suite. We had privacy. Equipped with Jacuzzi and very relaxing surrounding. Worth much of what we paid for. Recommended to friends and family.

“Lovely Guest Suite”
Reviewed March 29, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This lovely guest suite was very private and very clean and comfortable. The property was near the ocean and a lagoon and lovely trails you can take nice walks on. It was easy to drive anywhere from, either to go towards Victoria or in the other direction to Sooke - it was right in the middle.

I enjoyed the home feeling environment and ease of going to and from your room and of course all the extra amenities! Umbrellas, binoculars, towels, lawn chairs, snacks and many more. I do enjoy a soft mattress and this one was a little more solid than I care for, but other than that I have no issues and I would definitely stay here again!

“Great Place to Stay- Many Touches to Make it Feel Like Home!”

My husband and I recently stayed here on a week-long vacation, and it was perfect for our stay. Angela and Frank were very hospitable and helpful, while also leaving us to ourselves most of the time. The room was extremely well-stocked with many items to make the place "home-y" during our stay. While there is no kitchen, there are more than enough things around to help prepare basic meals such as cutlery, cutting boards and knives, microwave cookware, dishes, and a bbq and tools. There were even spices and some food items supplied to make cooking easier.

Our room was very comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice plus! We enjoyed the location and spent much time travelling around the area doing hiking as well as exploring downtown. We also loved the bakery at the top of the hill!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this suite. I can't say enough about this place and I hope to be back.

Lovely spacious accommodation with everything you could need. Perfectly placed for Equimalt Lagoon and Royal Roads College where the gardens are stunning. Wildlife is plentiful and the beach is lively. Would definitely recommend this part of BC for a vacation.

“Wonderful home nest for our 2nd Honeymoon”
Reviewed August 12, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Everything about our trip, a week long second honeymoon on southern Vancouver Island to celebrate our 25th anniversary, was delightful. The suite at Elements & Insights was a key part of making this such a great experience. The unit itself is charmingly decorated, and full of thoughtful touches from a bottle of wine waiting when we arrived to a rack full of information about the local attractions to the charming yard lighting around the hot tub. The location is also great if you want to have some time in Victoria and some time out enjoying the natural beauty of the island, as it is mid way between the inner harbor and East Sooke Provincial Park. Close to the unit we biked around the lagoon and saw a flock of 10 swans nesting down for the night, canoed in nearby Thetis Lake, and walked the lovely grounds of the Royal Roads University campus. Angela was a great host, welcoming us, responding when we had a request, and otherwise leaving us in peace to enjoy our time together.
