Saw 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' here in March '15. The cast were great - the sets were better than some of those in the larger, more 'posh' theaters, and the venue was comfortable and intimate.

The prices were low. Really low, I thought. $52 for two of us to see a play that ran from 8pm to 10:40! That's a lot of entertainment for not a lot of money. And it wasn't crap entertainment either - it was really quite well done.

Give it a try - I know we'll be going back.

None of this one-man-show budget type of production here. You get big casts, intimate venue, great sets, and sometimes even a curtain. The reason for this is because it is a community theatre and so doesn't have to pay salaries, but the quality is generally really good and the price is right. Subscribers get their emails reminding them to come and they get to choose great seats too.

Small theatre but great performances. Saw Cabaret there and it was VERY WELL done. Get there at least 15 minutes before show time - the rows are long and you have to disturb a lot of people if last minute and you sit in the middle. Get to the washroom before being seated as you will not be allowed back in if you leave during the performance.

I was in Victoria for a week in March and just happened to read about a play titled " The Graduate", which is a very popular film made in the 60's. That led me to find my way to Langham Court theatre to experience a play in such a small setting. I think it seats 170, in a building that's 80+ years old, tucked in a quiet cul-de-sac just off Rockland Ave.

I quite like the environment and will likely attend a performance again in the future.

Langham Court Theatre is a small theatre with great plays. We watched four of them so far. All shows were very entertaining. We specially were amazed by the amount of work they must have put in costumes and set decoration (would have adopted the "dog" in "Heroes" right away). Now we are looking forward to see "Penelopiad" by Margret Atwood.
The only downs are the outdated lounge area and the parking situation.
