“It's worth it”
Reviewed 14 July 2015

This tour is a little more expensive than some but when most of the other boats reached where the whales were they turned around and went home after 10 a 15 minutes viewing. We followed the whales further out to towards Vancouver and spent over an hour watch different pods pass through narrow straights where Captain Jeff turned of the engines and waited for the Orcas to pass us. It was magical seeing them breach and swim close to the boat. Great covered boat. Maximum 50 passengers. Lots of space and outside viewing areas. Thoroughly recommended.

Hi GillianGlasgow,
Our tours are a bit more expensive than some of the others in the industry, but we also do longer tours than anyone else. At a minimum 3.5-4 hours (often longer!), we offer a better value for your money. We are able to go further, stay longer, and see more along the way since we are not in a hurry to return to the dock for the next tour. It sounds like that payed off for your trip - a longer run to Vancouver (which is pretty spectacular in itself!), and lots of time watching the whales once you got there. I'm glad you had such a good time! Thank you for taking the time to review your trip.

“Whale Watching Victoria”
Reviewed 14 July 2015

This tour was amazing. They picked us up at our hotel and the staff was well informed and very friendly. They also delivered because we saw a group of Orcas including a baby orca. The Orcas were "peeping" their heads out of the water and one even did a flip. We also saw a young humpback whale, seals, two bald eagles, and a sea lion. The sea lion was an added plus because apparently it was rare to see one there when we went. The view was great when we went because it was a relatively clear day. We went on their catamaran and the ride was smooth. If you suffer from sea sickness, I would recommend taking something before the trip just to be safe. Take snacks, water, and bundle up because the trip takes about 4 hours. I would recommend this tour and this boat if you are going whale watching in Victoria.

Good afternoon Sky B,
Thank you for the great recommendations! Warm clothing, snacks and water are great ideas that we definitely encourage! It looks like you spotted lots of wildlife on your trip, as well as some very active whales! Our new babies seem to be keeping the rest of the pod on their toes this year, with lots of activity while the little ones figure out how to do things like belly flop and wave their tales in the air. It's pretty amazing to watch - I'm glad you had the opportunity to see it!

“Wow!!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2015

Went on the 4 Ever Wild boat and would recommend it in a heart beat. It was very comfortable and spacious even though we had a full load. There are bathrooms on board which is a huge plus. You can be inside or outside so if you get cold you can warm up inside. The staff were amazing and they were very knowledgeable and compassionate about their job. We saw tons of whales.

Hi Tiffmac9,
Sounds like you had a great trip on 4 Ever Wild, our new catamaran! We like to keep the groups smaller than capacity so that everyone has space to move around inside or outside, and there is plenty of seating wherever you want to be. The inside cabin is nice to get out of the elements but there's plenty of space to be outside watching the wildlife as well! I'm glad you had such a good time. Thank you for taking the time to review Eagle Wing Tours.

Hello Liz H,
Thank you for your review of Eagle Wing Tours. From your description, I'm guessing you might have stopped at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve, which is a great spot for viewing Steller and California Sea Lions, Northern Elephant Seals, and Harbour Seals, as well as a myriad of seabirds. It sounds like the whales did not disappoint either! The crew will be happy to hear you had a great trip.

“A whale of a day!”
Reviewed 13 July 2015

We had such an amazing adventure on board this boat! The crew was very informative and the boat is super comfortable. You can go both in and out on board as the weather changes. On this day so many of the whales came out to play. You felt like you were swimming with them. One new born calf came beside our boat and did playful twirls next to us. There were a total of 5 whales all around us. What a fun way to end our trip!

Hello Genie D,
Our new catamaran, 4 Ever Wild, is a great viewing platform for whales and other wildlife, and we are very excited to have added it to our fleet! I'm happy to hear you had such a great trip - it sounds like you got lucky and the whales decided to come over and do some people-watching!
Thanks for taking the time to review your trip. We hope to see you again one day!
