thanks so much for taking the time to post a review.
We are glad you enjoyed our facilities and surroundings.
Our sunrises are some of the best, and we feel lucky to witness them also.
Thanks again, hope you return someday
The owners and staff at Weir's Beach RV Resort were incredibly welcoming and friendly. This campground is a perfect place for families! It has a long sheltered beach where you can enjoy, relaxing in the sun and building castles or playing Frisbee. The gentle lapse of the ocean is perfect for skim boarding and floating in the bay.
During our stay, we rented kayaks and a fishing boat along (with all the necessary gear) from the Marina at Pedder Bay which is only 10 minutes away by car. From Weir's Beach RV we also hopped on the nearby Galloping Goose bike trail which included riding over a number of trestle bridges. The Galloping Goose trail runs from Sydney to the watershed north of Sooke.
We stayed for more than a week at a spot in front of the Clubhouse and enjoyed the breathtaking view and visits from resident wildlife (otters, herons, deer, woodpeckers and blue jays). Although the spot didn't have many trees the view was simply unbelievable, and the Clubhouse provided us with shelter from the wind. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise. See you next year!
We have stayed here before, about 6 years ago. The new owners are doing a great job and are very gracious hosts. The clubhouse facilities are spotless and the wide beach is a treat for families. The previous owners did not permit children which is why we stopped booking here. We enjoy time with our adult children and our grandchildren. It's a perfect spot to relax and unwind. We will definitely be back!
This is our first time at Weir's Beach RV Resort. We've been here for just over 2 weeks and still have one more week left. We're serious RV campers (we camp all summer long each year) and have stayed at most of the RV parks on Vancouver Island. This place is an absolute gem.
The location is fabulous - a true west coast experience and yet only 25 minutes from downtown Victoria. The beach is stunning, fine powder sand but great packing sand for building castles when the tide is out (our young daughter spends hours on the beach in the sand). There is always something going on in the ocean out front, whether it's cruises ships passing by, navy ships practicing maneuvers, sea king helicopters rehearsing ocean rescues, or horses galloping down the beach, always something to capture your attention. Wild life is abundant with beautiful birds in the lagoon and sea otters venturing past often (we had one go under our trailer last week). I've been told that you can also see whales breaching off the beach although we have yet to witness this phenomenon.
The facility is in beautiful shape. The owners are an amazing family who take great pride in maintaining their RV resort while still always being respectful of their guests privacy. Full sewer hookup, 45 amp electrical service, cable and WiFi. The clubhouse is the nicest I've ever been in with a pool table, big screen TV, computer/business centre, laundry facilities, showers, etc. Outside there's a BBQ, koi pond, and beautiful gardens. Garbage and recycling is nicely tucked away but easy to access. Fire wood is also available for sale.
I can't say enough about this fabulous RV resort and would happily recommend it to anyone.
A place we will definitely return to. Facilities were absolutely spotless - the clubhouse has everything you would need. Laundry, games, pool table, television, small kitchen area. Staff and owners so friendly and accommodating. Great beach and so quiet. We will be back!
