Our first outing to Francis King park saw us explore part of the Centennial Trail and then work our way toward the middle of the trail system. Compared to My Doug Park (also in Saanich), this one is not quite as well sign-posted. Our small amount of walking was mostly on single track which doesn't lend itself as much to chatting as you go.
The terrain is quite varied.
It's very quiet and rural and you really feel as though you're on your own in the middle of the forest. I totally recommend it to anyone wanting a leisurely 30 minute to stroll, to those who want to explore for hours.
