I was at this park twice in the past week - it's easy access from the city: Burnside West Road to Prospect Lake Road to Munn's Road and then follow the signs. I like the park in the spring because of the wildflowers, it shines if you want to see wildflowers (Shooting Star Trail). I just like the park in general because it affords hours of hiking through a variety of country: high ridge, marsh, old forest, etc. The reason I was at the park twice in the past week is that there are great horned owl chicks in a tree on one of the trails - there are also rufous hummingbirds, and... well there's always something different and if you're a birder - it's great.
