The food at Forum restaurant is not really different from any other Chinese restaurant in Greater Victoria. It does an adequate job of feeding you and giving you an event outside of home with family and friends. The food is good for what it does.

My wife and I went for dinner last night at Forum before a show.
We ordered a dinner combo plate with Won ton Soup,Chicken chow mien , chop suey ,Breaded almond chicken and sweet and sour pork,
Service was very fast and attentive, the food was hot and Delicious!
We look forward to going there again soon

The food is quite good, very friendly staff. Very busy, especially during tourist season.
Quite a number of bus tours drop by; so I'd recommend a reservation or at least a phone call in advance. If you don't you may have to wait awhile.

Went here with a group of friends. The place was completely crowded which usually is a good sign. But it was crowded with a large group. Not sure how busy otherwise ?
I felt very sorry for the ONE server in the entire restaurant, the poor girl was running from table to table best as she could. She alone did a wonderful job. Occassionally someone who looked like maybe a manager came out to assist at the tables. But definitely this place needed 1 or 2 more servers to keep things moving. As a result, very slow service.
Food was good, but average. Somewhat bland tasting, expected something more robust and authentic for a Chinatown restaurant. But still pretty good.
I'd try this place again when it is less busy to give it a second try and see how it goes. Otherwise, I'd go somewhere else, as there are many places on the street.

While touring Chinatown with our group we were able to take a break from our walk at Forum. Our host John Wong was a true delight!!Along with the fantastic authentic food and service by the staff John played some authentic music from his homeland while also educating us about the history, customs & culture of China. These special experiences like meeting people like John & his staff is what,to us, makes traveling all worth while.Thank you John!! We won't forget you.
