We chose to have dinner at Pescatores on a whim and so glad we did. Staff was very accommodating and moved us away, with no complaint whatsoever, from an especially noisy group of diners. Once relocated, our evening was great. I know you should have sea food when on the ocean but I had the BEST BURGER EVER with a great red wine that the waitress recommended and then wrote down for me so I wouldn't forget. Will go back to Pescatores in a heart-beat.

This is a downtown restaurant with a beautiful walk along the water. The atmosphere inside is hip with a few booths and open tables. There are two parts to this restaurant, the fancy and "upscale" or the hip and quite loud regular part. This review is for the regular part. Because of the loud music, it isn't the best place for conversation. The items on the menu were overpriced and mediocre (with the exception of the oysters). There are a plethora of waitresses, however, trying to actually get service, nonetheless good service, is a problem for Pescatores. The waitress never came to ask how the food was and since the food was undercooked, I had to ask someone else for help. All of this was resolved with a new overcooked piece of halibut and a discount. The water glasses were only filled after asking the bus guy. The beer selection is fantastic, serving local beers.

The restaurant has great intentions and sources local products from local farmers and fishermen. None of this matters however, if at the final point of serving, the food is not properly done and the servers do not know how to practice excellent customer service.

This restaurant is good for the person who simply wants a dozen fresh oysters and a delicious local beer, sitting at the bar. However, if you are interested in conversation, service and other types of food, I recommend another restaurant.

We decided to try this restaurant on the advice of someone who told us that it had been renovated and would possibly be of interest to try. When we arrived we were greeted by a very obviously ill greeter whose incessant coughing should have been grounds at least for keeping her from direct contact with the public. I realize that employees get sick but in the service industry patrons should not be subjected to exposure to unwanted germs. We then were presented with a menu which is indeed very extensive but in reality perhaps too much so. Service was rather uninterested and lackluster. Our food was OK but the bill was more what one would expect in an establishment serving much finer food. I believe if one is seeking great seafood fare in Victoria there are better options for your dollar.

I understand this had been closed, but we ate there in mid-January, 2016. The food was outstanding (get the sable fish). The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Central harhour location and appealing venue draws you in. We were pleased with the find! The name suggests a robust selection of seafood. The menu had lots of choices but some signature items list could have been a bit more expansive. But, anyway, we had no trouble finding appealing choices and beverages. This was also complimented by great service and a bright expansive ambiance overlooking the water.
