“Best Food (and coolest venue) in Victoria!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

Located ON the pier in Victoria's Inner Harbor, Red Fish Blue Fish offers amazing tasting food. To be honest, I have eaten here twice in the last few weeks and I must say, it is the best place I've eaten at, in Victoria! Not only is the food great... but what a great concept!

Located along the waterfront, food is prepared and served out of an old sea container. What a great idea! There is plenty of dockside seating to enjoy your meal while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Inner Harbor. And even when the weather does not cooperate, a tent is set up over the bar-style seating area to keep you dry. The only suggestion I would make is to look into one of those propane-powered patio heaters for the really cool days.

Another thing worth mentioning is how concerned about the environment and sustainable practices the company is. All of their seafood products are Ocean Wise (recognized for sustainability regarding types of seafood and harvesting methods). This is described in detail on a poster along the boardwalk. As well, they make an effort to use packaging and cutlery that is environmentally friendly.

Service is friendly and welcoming, but can be a little slow (especially if you go during the lunch rush), but it's worth the wait.

However, you're there for the food, remember! The fish n' chips are made to order and the batter is just right; a nice light batter that lets you enjoy and taste the fish, without filling you up. Delicious! The Pacific Rim Chowder is excellent! Make sure to order the bigger 16 oz size, otherwise you'll regret it! The shrimp roll is tasty and the tacones are good, but the grand prize goes to the Oyster Sandwich! Ohh! You have to try one of these.

Excellent work, Red Fish Blue Fish. I would recommend you to anyone!

“Great Food, Great Atmosphere!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

After watching an episode of "Eat Street" on the Food Network we couldn't wait to stop by Red Fish Blue Fish during our first visit to Victoria. We can honestly say what a treat. The Pacific Rim Chowder is a must. Halibut and chips were delicious. Love the fact that they're involved with Oceanwise and their recycling program is impressive, to say the least.

“Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2012

A lunch lineup even when the wind was cold. Downside: there isn't a way to get out of the wind down on the wharf. We waited about 15 minutes, put in our order with the very friendly cashier and then waited about 5 minutes for our order. Our order was fried haddock and chips, tacones with BBQ wild salmon, and a cod dog . All were hot and delicious. Would certainly go again.
