“best night out in Whistler”
Reviewed 12 March 2009

I went on a Whistler tasting tour with two good friends of mine. It was a great afternoon out - dressing up and going to 6 different places in Whistler to sample good food and wine. The servings were enough to satisfy my palate and the wines were superb. The guys hosting the tour were friendly and definitely knew Whistler well. There were two special surprises on the tour which made the tour value for money. It was also good to meet other people attending the tour and that night we all planned on hitting the clubs together. Definitely one of my best nights in Whistler!!

“A great way to try great food!”
Reviewed 9 March 2009

We went on the Privileged Palate tour on Monday, 2/16/2009 with our two teenage daughters (16 and 13) and had a grand time!! We were paired with a lovely family from Chicago and had Joe as our great host. The tour started at the Fairmont Chateau Mallard Lounge with some simple dim sum (dumpling) and spinach dip appetizer. The four adults were offered a cocktail or any kind of alcholic beverages. Once Joe explained the tour, the rules (poker cards) and timing, we were offed to the next restaurant.
We were shuttled from Fairmont to our next restaurant: Elements where we had a great piece of grilled salmon paired with a recommend wine. No wine for the girls! For the rest of the evening we strolled around Whistler Village from restaurant to restaurant.
Apres came next with their squash ravioli, we loved this restaurant so much that we went back to it a few nights later for a complete meal. It didn't hurt that we won a $20 gift certificate from the Tour to this restaurant.
We then went to Quattro where we had a fantastic lamb and rice dish finishing up with dessert at the Mountain club.
All these places are extremely nice and well-appointed, however, they are all quite use to folks in ski wear for dinner so no one has to worry about their attire for the tour.
The tour is quite expensive, but for those of us who would like to find out what are some of the 'tasty' restaurants at a vacation location, this was a great way to go. We will definitely visit more of the restaurants we ate at that night when we go back to Whistler.

“A dining experience”
Reviewed 2 March 2009

My wife and I went on the Whistler Tasting Tour last week, February 26, 2009. We sampled food and wine from five different restaurants in the Village. The food, wine, and service were outstanding at each location. We were escorted to each dining experience by the Tasting Tour guide who made the tour interesting, informative, and fun. We highly recommend the dining tour experience. We will do it again on our next visit to Whistler.

“Whistler Tasting Tours...You Don't Want to Miss This!!!”
Reviewed 17 February 2009

The reviews don't begin to tell how wonderful the night with Whistler Tasting Tours turned out for my wife, my 16 year old daughter and myself.

To begin with Joe Facciolo of Whistler Tasting Tours could not be more helpful or accommodating. He truly listened to every comment and request and I wish every interaction with various clients, friends or business associates went as well.

Equally important, the tour could not of been better or more enjoyable. We were paired up with another family with two teenage girls and that was terrific. Joe has two tours and we took the Privileged Palate Tour. This was in essence a multi-course meal and tour of Whistler Village all in one. The evening started at Mallard Lounge at The Fairmont Hotel with a a cocktail and appetizers and overview of the night and then took us to Elements, Apres , Quatro and The Mountain Club with a separate entree's(i won't spoil the night for you or share our entree's) as well as desert at the last stop. Each stop was accompanied with a local British Columbia wine perfect for the meal, a terrific ice wine to accompany desert and we even stopped off for a special chocolate truffle along the way.

It was a terrific evening and Joe should be complimented for putting together a memorable activity for everybody. He was a great host. Both families truly enjoyed the night and we strongly endorse and recommend Whistler Tasting Tours.
