We were out on the 4pm tour with Alan.
Alan is a great guide, who kindly shared his wealth of knowledge with us.

We enjoyed the very comfortable drive, through forest, and mountain areas, that we would not have discovered on our own.

The bear we spotted, was enjoying a late afternoon snack, on foraged bear treats from the forest floor, and kindly allowed us to view him, from only a short distance.

Went on a 2 hour sightseeing trip for $119. Was told bears were on the trip and the hit rate thus far was 100% . I asked a very specific question "have they seen bears on every trip so far this season?" and the response was "yes".

Went out, didn't see a single bear. Instead went to see a waterfall. I've been on other sight seeing tours (whales, sea lions, safari, etc), and this was the worst. Wouldn't go again.

Our guide Cal was awesome! He took us up the Soo Valley where the views were spectacular. He was friendly, very informative and knowledgeable about the area. He also seemed to enjoy what he was doing. He took his time and we were an hour over the time and he even received a call from a concerned co-worker to make sure he was OK. I've read the other reviews about people complaining about being inn the back seat of the Land Rover and not being able to see much, which is true. Cal made it fair for everyone and we all rotated through the back seat. I have also read other reviews where they did not see any bears. My only comment to that is that everyone in the vehicle needs to be looking and not just relying on the guide. The bear we spotted was on the passenger side, down a hill which was not visible from the driver's seat. At the same time we spotted the bear, there was a dog wandering down the road towards the bear. Cal was concerned for the safety of the dog and we brought the dog into the Land Rover which was already crowded with 7 of us. We drove about 50 feet and found the owners driving down in front of us. Cal also took us to the trees where the bears use them a scratching posts. Overall, it was a worthwhile trip.

While we didn't see any wildlife from a close distance (could see otters per the guide from about a mile or two away), there were still great views. The guide took us to a few spots where we saw signs of animals from footprints to claw marks.

The wild is in Wildlife for a reason, otherwise there would be no reason to pay a guide for a tour. While I would have appreciated at least something visible to the naked eye? You can't knock them too much for that.

They promised us a luxury Land Rover, but my husband and I were squeezed to the back of the car, with a loud irritating noise of the air conditioning and couldn’t hear anything that was being explained. Worse, the guide didn’t seem to worry even when we complained. The only living wildlife we could see was a quail. Three hours in a tiny space next to an annoying noise and whatching other people’s head. We ended up with the feeling of having thrown money away (plus a long lasting headache). We understand thar spoting bears would be a matter of luck, but respecting customers is essential. The 2 extra seats in the back should never be offered, even for half the price.
